Floridablanca Enviro Corporation (FEC) received the Excellence in Sustainable Wastewater Treatment Technology in Sanitary Landfill award from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources – Environmental Management Bureau Region III (DENR-EMB R3) during the Environmental Summit 2026, held on 19 August 2026 at Royce Hotel and Casino in New Clark City, Pampanga.
The summit delegates were welcomed by DENR-EMB Regional Director Martin Jose Despi, who highlighted the role of the local government units and stakeholders with best ecological solid waste management practices.
Leading the FEC delegation, Chairman and President Mr. Tan Eng Hwa and Operations General Manager Engr. Ric Delgado proudly received the award during the ceremony. Mr. Tan quipped, “This recognition reflects our team’s unwavering commitment to sustainable wastewater treatment and environmental stewardship. We extend our profound appreciation to the DENR for acknowledging FEC’s commitment to sustainable wastewater treatment and providing the most compliant engineered sanitary landfill in Region 3.”
FEC, a subsidiary company of Berjaya Philippines Inc., is a Category 4 Sanitary Landfill, the highest standard achievable, ensuring maximum environmental protection, on a 91-hectare property in Barangay Pabanlag, Floridablanca. The FEC landfill, also known as the Floridablanca Enviro Park Project, is compliant with the National Solid Waste Management Commission (NSWMC) and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), having a Leachate Treatment Plant (LTP), an advanced system for leachate collection and treatment, including physical and biological treatment.
