A better life and future is once again possible for the people of Trece Martirez, Cavite.

Berjaya Group Philippines in partnership with Gawad Kalinga, once again made a difference in many people’s lives. The 30 houses, few of the many houses sponsored by The Berjaya Group across the Philippines, are located in Brgy. Hugo Perez, Trece Martirez, Cavite were turned over to its Kapitbahayans last December 6, 2013. Present in the ceremonial turn over of the houses were CaviteGovernor Jonvic Remulla, Berjaya Group’s Country Head Paul Soo and Gawad Kalinga’s Executive Director Luis Oquinena. The smiling faces of the people were everywhere in the event, which makes the Berjaya Group even happier, that its mission of enriching the lives of those in need, was once again fulfilled.

Amidst all the catastrophes that crushed our country through the years, including the recent devastations in the Visayas region caused by a powerful earthquake in Bohol that left our historic churches in ruins, and the super typhoon named Yolanda that wiped out Tacloban and its surrounding provinces, Filipinos were shattered, like a glass, broken into pieces. Heroism and resiliency once again proved the strength of the Filipinos, and the kind heart of every human being. “Walang Iwanan”, the famous and hopeful phrase that Gawad Kalinga strongly adheres to, acts like a bond on all the reasons why Berjaya Group is here, side by side, giving our countrymen a hope and a better future. These are the houses with foundations built on kindness, roofs built on trust and a home built on hope and love for every Filipino.
