The agreement formalizes the provision of scholarship grants for qualified third-year students enrolled in the BS Accountancy and BS Civil Engineering programs at PUP.  Under the partnership, BPI will provide funding each semester to help cover the scholars’ book expenses and allowances.

(L-R) Mr. Tan Eng Hwa, President of Berjaya Philippines, and Mr. Tomas Testor, PUP VP for Student Affairs and Services.

“We will continue to do what we can to provide scholarships for students. Together with PUP, we are investing in the education and future success of deserving Filipino students,” Mr. Tan said during the signing ceremony.

Mr. Testor expressed his appreciation for the partnership, saying, “PUP is truly grateful for this partnership with you. Our students greatly benefit from the support of partners like Berjaya, as more than sixty percent (60%) of our students live below the poverty threshold.”
