The founder fo Berjaya Group, Tan Sri Dato Seri Vincent Tan, recently paid a avisit to the Philippines witha generous donation of 100 million pesos to Gawad Kalinga (GK) for various projects, in line with Berjaya Group’s social commitment to the community, and praised the country for its vibrant economy and the Filipino people’s effort to help their countrymen rise from poverty.

“The Phillippines is undoubtedly now realizing its economic potentials as a result of its positive economic and investment climate, ” he said in a speech delivered at the GK Bayanihan Expo event held at the SMX Arena last October 6, with the Berjaya Group’s turnover of a cheque worth P100 million to GK founder and the chairman Tony Meleto, as witnessed by Tan and Vice President Jejomar C.
